I Heart Family
Little sister is leaving for her big trip Thursday - gone for 5 months, first stop South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe, then India and so on. I'm jealous/worries sick/exited for her. We had the big-family&friends-lasagne&icecream-dinner tonight, Mom and I spent the whole day in the kitchen cooking. Having 20 aunts, uncles and cousins over for dinner is definitly no joke. We eat more food than a whole troop. Big C flew in from Mexico today, C just out of Afganistan, so it was a nice to see the whole family together again. We are blessed to be so close in our family, It's like i have 9 brothers and sisters.

RIOT!
I guess I learned my lesson yesterday; you don’t fuck with hardcore oppositional people and don’t get mixed up in riots… Taking pictures of the demonstration not far from the the Israeli embassy, the riot suddenly escalated, and I was caught in the middle of the violence, Molotov cocktails, Fireworks, people throwing bricks, military police… but the worst was the tear gas. My eyes are still running, and my throat feels like I swallowed a pound of pepper. Hundreds of people were arrested…
It’s sad to see that people’s frustration against Israel has escalated to violence, so far from where the real conflict really is. The sad part is that half the people in this riot weren’t there to protest against Israel, but just angry teens with various ethnic and religious background that want to be in the middle of the action when all hell breaks loose. Disillusioned youth, who have finally found a way to let out the steam and frustration from comfortable Norway.
Reading this book now, super interesting. The Israel Lobby and U.S foreign Policy…. Worth to check out if you want to know more about lobbyist, power games, and the U.S governametal administration and organization.

Stop Israel. STOP.
What I'm following right now: Al Jazeeras Twitter
RECAP: At least 540 people, including many civilians, killed and more than 2,450 wounded as Israel continues ground offensive in Gaza.
RECAP: Five Israelis killed since conflict began; four killed in Israel by rocket attacks launched from #Gaza & one soldier on operations.
I Don't even know if you get Al Jazeera all over the world, But this arabic TV channel gives us a rare insight in what is going on in The Middle East right now. Very interesting to follow.
I wanted to post some pictures. But It's just too fucked up - dead children, amputations, bombs, blood - I just want to cry.
My feelings go out to all the victims of this conflict, especially the Palestinian People in Gaza.
